Another Part of Childhood Dead, RIP Mr. Wizard

Mr Wizard

It was early mornings on Nickelodeon that Mr. Wizard would begin an experiment that would not only show kids principles of science about the world around them, but also show them to think and observe. Don Herbert or as he was well known as, Mr. Wizard, died today at the age of 89. Countless days did I sit there and watch him explain things concepts such as hydrogen bonding and Boyle’s Law.

“I fully realize the number is virtually endless when I talk to scientists, they all say that Mr. Wizard taught them to think.”
-George Tressel, National Science Foundation 1989

Tip your beakers in silence today.
