The Forbidden City AKA MaoChan’s Crib

Forbidden City

I figure it was about time to show you the opulence in which I live….. oh who am I kidding? I ate cottage cheese for dinner, with salt & pepper. But if this crazy world works out the way it should, I should be, in no time, moving into the Forbidden City.

Designated a World Heritage Site in 1987, the Chinese imperial palace is located in the middle of Beijing, China. Built in the mid-Ming to end of Qing Dynasty, the Forbidden City was home to the Emperor of China. Consisting of 980 surviving buildings with 8,707 bays of rooms and covering 720,000 square metres, it might just have enough room for my beanie baby collection.

D-War: Korea’s Way of Saying “Screw Hollywood”

July 12, 2007

DWar

After Gwoemul aka The Host, I have been more geared up than ever for cinema from Korea. Before it was hit or miss with good titles such as 2009: Lost Memories They have really stepped up in quality and production values. The movies are also just interesting to watch compared to the crap coming out in America, except Transformers. Transformers is the shit.

The picture above is for D-War, a new movie about dragons from a Korean legend ending up in Los Angeles. And then they tear the city apart. In case you are wondering, the film is by a Korean director and backed by a Korean production company. They just happen to use American actors hence the English. There is a new trailer out that really makes me want to see this film.

“I got a 2-headed dragon.”
