Staying in Osaka on The Cheap
If you are going to travel to Japan and are poor I highly recommend you check out this video from JapanProbe on how to stay in Osaka at a cheap hotel. As you will see in the comments over there, people have nothing but good things to say about these places. From their clean futons, small but private rooms, and clean communal showers, everything is good about them. Some are even located next to a big mall full of food stands.
Since you are saving tons of money, why not spend some and visit some great culture in Osaka. There are tons of awesome bars and clubs, partake in a viewing of Bunraku (文楽) or go visit the Toyota plant. There is also the amazing Osaka Kaiyukan which is one of the largest aquariums in the world and boasts the ever popular WHALE SHARK “Kai-kun”. And remember that Osaka is a hub to get to all the great stuff in Kansai: Kyoto, Hiroshima, Himeji, Shikoku, Wakayama. Start packing.
